Who we are

Tahari Desk ("we," "us," or "our") runs https://www.taharidesk.com and related demo tools. We help small businesses answer missed calls with AI, send a follow-up text to someone who just called, chat with website visitors, and keep a simple record of those conversations.

Legal / business name: Tahari Desk
Contact email: [email protected]
Demo phone: (208) 618-2424

Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you:

  • Visit our website
  • Call our live demo line at (208) 618-2424
  • Use the website chat widget
  • Submit a "Book a Demo" or contact form
  • Become a pilot or paying customer
  • Receive a missed-call text-back through a business that uses Tahari Desk (that business is usually the main controller of its customer data; see below)

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Demo calls: first name, business name or type, what your customers usually ask, and anything else you say on the call. We may also collect your phone number from caller ID.
  • Website chat: the messages you type and any name, email, or phone number you share in chat.
  • Booking / contact forms: name, email, phone number, business name, and the time you request.
  • Customer onboarding: business details, forwarding settings, website content you provide, and billing contacts.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, pages viewed, and basic analytics (including Meta Pixel or similar tools once installed)
  • Cookies or similar technologies needed to run the site and understand traffic

Information from service providers

We use vendors to run phone, text, hosting, forms, and AI features (for example voice platforms, SMS providers, website builders such as GoHighLevel, and payment processors if you pay us). Those vendors process data on our behalf under their own terms.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Run the demo and explain the product
  • Book follow-up conversations you request
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service for customers
  • Detect abuse, debug problems, and secure the systems
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
  • Send service messages about your account (not unrelated marketing texts)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell phone numbers or text opt-in consent to third parties for their marketing.

Call recording and transcripts

Demo calls to (208) 618-2424, and calls handled for customers, may be recorded and transcribed so we can show how the demo worked, improve the AI, train on quality, and help customers review what callers asked for.

Where required (including Washington), we aim to announce recording on the call. If you do not want a demo call recorded, hang up after the notice or contact us and use the booking form instead.

Customer businesses that use Tahari Desk are responsible for telling their callers about recording when the law requires it.

Text messages

If you use or receive our text features:

  • Missed-call text-back is intended for a person who just called that business and reached no answer, not for purchased lead lists
  • Message frequency varies
  • Message and data rates may apply
  • Reply STOP to cancel texts from that line and HELP for help
  • We do not share opt-in information with other companies for their marketing

When a local business is the customer

If a plumbing shop (or other business) hires Tahari Desk, that business decides why it collects its callers' information. In that case we act as a service provider / processor: we handle call audio, transcripts, texts, and lead details to provide the service they ordered. Their privacy practices also apply to their customers. We use that data to run and improve the service for them, not to market unrelated products to their callers.

How we share information

We may share personal information with:

  • Vendors who host the site, run phone/SMS/AI, process payments, or provide analytics
  • Professional advisors (lawyer, accountant) when needed
  • Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety
  • A buyer if Tahari Desk is sold or merged (you would be notified if required)

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Retention

We keep demo and website inquiry data only as long as needed for follow-up, security, and product improvement, then delete or de-identify it. Customer account data is kept for the life of the account and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, disputes, and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete demo or inquiry data sooner using the contact below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (including Washington residents under the My Health My Data Act and other state rules that may apply, and rights that may apply to Idaho residents under other laws), you may be able to:

  • Ask what personal information we have about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Opt out of certain sharing (we do not sell personal information)
  • Opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link (service emails may still be sent)

To make a request, email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to verify who you are before we respond.

Do Not Track: our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

Children

Tahari Desk is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). If you think a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We are based in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
